Sales and Marketing Assistant
 

Ito design, an independent local avant-garde fashion company, has an opportunity for a Sales and Marketing Assistant.

We are looking for a person who has Sales Rep and Account Management experience, is passionate about avant-garde fashion design and is excited to share the unique story and vision behind Ito.

Someone who takes pride in their work, is proactive,  insightful, dependable, sees their work to completion and can find inventive solutions to challenges.

 

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Industry and account research

• Representing the vision of Ito to prospective clients

• Building a roster of client accounts

•  Managing client accounts

• Client communications

• Ability to travel with product samples to client locations

• Strategizing marketing campaigns to support and build recognition of the Ito brand

• Implementation and maintaining ongoing marketing and promotional outreach

• Generating marketing graphics for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc.)

• Some light operational assistance such as supply sourcing and ordering

• Assisting with product photo shoots (mostly at the production studio but may also be at an event/location in the bay area)
   

 

You will be reporting to and collaborating with the owner and designer, Jerry Jacob.

 

This is a jr. level position, part-time up to 3 days a week. Offsite work is ok,  but you will be required to visit the production studio in West Oakland for occasional planning meetings and check ins and will also need to be able to travel to client locations with product samples.

The compensation for this position is a percentage based commission from established sales, plus a monthly stipend for strategizing and maintaining marketing and promotional campaigns.

In-person and phone interviews will include an exercise convincing a potential client to establish an account and buy products.
